Hi there, bit of a newbie myself. Ive been lurking on this site since Dd1 did the test 2 years ago, now just waiting for DD2 results on Saturday. Fingernail shredding stuff isnt it?

Thank you Alex hopefully a few more will answer.

Hi Blueberrypie, this is more nerve racking than the actual tests! And then if they pass the school application process, going to turn grey (er) at this rate!

Ha Ha , i know what you mean, i was like that 2 yrs ago with my first DD, this time round if DD2 passes she gets a place because of the sibling rule so that takes a lot of the stress out but of course she still has to pass. School have indicated they are expecting a larger than average catchment area so dont worry too much about that, not as big as last years but bigger than the few previous.x

I've only the one child, don't know how you've managed twice, must have the patience of a saint!

We are 24 miles from any grammar school, so that is good to hear.

Hoping for Kshssa if she passes, due to a bus service from the next village, seems odd they have no choice in Lincoln itself.

I understand the results are posted Friday, post is a little hit and miss here so likely Monday

Gosh 24miles, thats quite a distance. Our local grammar is 12 miles away and catchment has been gradually getting smaller, year before last only 12.5 miles but last year it shot up to about 20 and everyone got a place who wanted one with a couple of places to spare. This year someone mentioned it should be about 15/16miles (im talkin about QEHS at Gainsborough) so hopefully all other catchments should have swollen a bit aswell if thats the trend.
Good luck with results, hoping for ours on Saturday, knowing our luck we wont get a weekend post and we too will find out Monday. Youd think they would have progressed to online by now!

Mmmm does seem far, our guide on open evening lived slightly further so hopeful.

I don't think it's as oversubscribed though as Gainsborough I know that is the preferred school for her classmates.

Good luck for the weekend. :D

And yes, why not online rather than snail mail, seems others areas cope.

Saying that the lincs consortium page is a little outdated so not surprised
