Hi and welcome

I think you are referring to the CSSE exam in Essex, so I'll move the thread to that section of the forum to get more answers./ meanwhile there is a bit in the FAQ about remarks :

Suspect you may have to ask the examining authority for their policy

I am going to ask for a remark for my DD papers (294) or 58%

Very frustrated that was always told that over 55% was enough but this year was not enough. Want remark as she was clearing 80% -90% in maths papers

whether remarks can be done varies considerably around the country as indicated in the FAQ, I think you can only the admission authority and see what they say. best done in writing and do let us know how you get in with it

My son has got 300.75 in his csse exams and I wish to apply for remarking as well.it would be really helpful if someone shares the procedure to apply for remarking and experiences if any.

I don't personally know the procedure but am aware of people having had a remark in the past (a friends son was knocked off his first place in the waiting list due to someones successful remark). I would suggest contacting the CSSE on Monday as a starting point.

Thank you for your email.

Test papers are held at the test centres.

Any queries related to the papers should be made in writing to the school where your child sat the tests.

Please be advised that the schools will not carry out a remark. They may be willing to carry out a clerical check to ensure that the marks were added up correctly.

Regards

CSSE Admin

Received the same message from the CSSE .
Contacted the school that my son wrote the exam and they said they would send me an application form.

What were your DC scores? My DD got 295.772 - 31/60 for English and 39/60 for Maths. The scores have baffled me as I found out today that a boy in her class got 33/60 for English and and 39/60 (same) for Maths but scored 307. I'm baffled by how 2 more correct in English pushes the score up by 12 points? Is it to do with age? My daughter is a December baby.
