Kent Test results statistics 2012 and 2013

Post by xiygx »

Does anyone has link to Kent Test results' statistics by score and gender for 2012 and 2013. I was able to see it on the forum last night but somehow disappeared.

Found it.

HI That could be very useful info if I could quite make head or tail of it! Does that table have both 2012 and 2013 data in? Is there anywhere you know where it is sorted a bit more logically at all? Many thanks

I have done more a proper job for boys. Happy to share the details. Based on the data, I expect Judd School cut off around 375-380.

Hello, xiygx, how did you arrive at the cut off score of 375-380 around, please can you share as I understand there are only 150 spaces in Judd and there are lot more boys who have scored between 420 and 396. Sorry i'm just trying to understand if we have a chance at Judd or Skinners.Son scored 386.

I put this on the other topic:

One way of doing it is by knowing previous year's cut-off points e.g. Judd 412 in March then 410 at reallocation. You then count how many boys scored 412 and above to 423 (for arguments sake - say it was 900 boys), those 900 boys come from all over Kent and OOC, not all those boys will want a place at Judd (or put it first). You then count how many boys got the score your DS got (say 380) and upwards to 420 - there could be 800 boys (really guessing this as I'm not counting!) you will know roughly what the chances are of getting a place at Judd. This really is not a scientific method and very much open to errors but may give you an idea.

I'm sure one of our very clever forum members can give a much more accurate method, but this one worked for me in the past.

Thank you confusedmum.com. The count for 2013 was 650 and a similar number for 2012.

coolmum70 - your son should be fine for both Skinners or Judd. You can try for Dartford Grammar as well, with extra places the cut off may drop to around 380.
