Has everyone put their preference form in yet? Still struggling with ours. DS passed Sale and Ambrose. He wants Ambrose but don't think we stand a chance as at bottom of criteria and when I called Ambrose I was told there was a high pass rate. I don't want to jeopardise Sale as that is a brilliant school and gets higher GCSE/ A'level results so not really sure.

If you put Ambrose first and are not awarded a place then it will be disregarded as your first choice and your second choice becomes your first. The schools don't know where you have put them on the list
