Not first choice on caf
If your child does not pass the entrance test on the first choice on your caf form - how seriously is your second choice taken if the second choice school is a very popular super selective where people would have placed it first? Have read that schools do not know how you rank them - but the council will - how do they decide?
Re: Not first choice on caf
The order you place them makes no difference to whether you get the school or not. If you don't get your first choice, your second choice is then automatically your first choice etc.

Re: Not first choice on caf
If your child doesn't qualify for the first choice school for reasons of ranking if it is a selective, or faith or distance or whatever the school's admissions criteria are, the next school you have listed on the form will automatically be considered as your first choice. If they don't get a place at that school, the third school on your list will become the first choice, and so on down the list. If you don't qualify for any of the six schools on your list, you will automatically be allocated your nearest school that has available places, even if you haven't listed it.
