Christmas in Shakespeare's Schoolroom

Post by kenyancowgirl »

The Head of KES has given the Sports PTA special permission to open Shakespeare's Schoolroom on 27th November, 2014 from 4-7pm to tie in with the Christmas Lights Switch on in Stratford.

Boys will be running tours of the Schoolroom, (raising funds for sports activities), which will be decorated for Christmas with music and other treats. Cost will be £2.50 for adults, £1.50 concessions with donations for mince pies etc.

I understand that Shottery Girls Choir will be singing in the Guild Chapel next door so it will be well worth a little visit down, to kickstart your festive season!

For those of you wanting to hear top quality brass music from KES, The Kings Brass are playing outside the town hall from 4-4.30 too :D

The Shottery Choir is singing in the Guild Chapel from 5.15-6.30pm - so come along to listen to the Brass Band at 4-4.30, pop into Shakespeare's Schoolroom for a bit of Shakespearean history afterwards and enjoy the choir too! The Schoolroom is open 4pm-7pm (raising funds for sports activities in the school) and, by all accounts, is going to look very festive - and, quite frankly, it is a stunningly awe-inspiring room and building at the best of times!
