Thanet grammar schools

Post by EJ43 »

Does anyone know how far out Thanet grammars take children I know children from Herne Bay get in but do children on the Canterbury train line attend
I'm thinking ahead to 2016 I don't want to visit the schools and like them but then not be in with a chance of getting in. The journey to Thanet on the train would be quicker than a bus to Canterbury
Thank you

Thank you I will have a look at the link

Do schools disclose the information if I was to ring up and ask where the furthest child lives

My understanding is that Thanet only had an 11% pass rate for Kent Test this year, so the two Thanet Grammar Schools will probably be extending their catchment area this year. I have heard of children from Whitstable applying for a place this year, so if that trend continues I would imagine the Canterbury side would be an option for 2016.
