Pupil Premium is now part of the over subscription criteria as it was last year, just double-checked. Will be interesting to see if Kendrick catch-up.
The permanent home address of the student is within the designated area of the school and the student is from a family in receipt
of Income Support and/or entitled to claim free school meals at their current school at the time of the test or is in receipt of the
Service Premium. Documentary evidence that the parent is in receipt of the appropriate support payment entitling the child to free
school meals/service premium will be required.
For in-year admissions some changes in exam format!

Entrance Tests
The entrance tests will be taken at Reading School. The Entrance Test will be in two parts:
Part One: Verbal, Numerical and Non-Verbal.
Part Two: English Comprehension extension question.
The Verbal, Numerical and Non-Verbal questions are set by a nationally recognised assessment body. The English extension
question will test literacy. The results of the Part One Verbal, Numerical and Non-Verbal questions will be combined,
standardised, and placed in rank order. On the basis of this rank order, the top candidates, in order of rank, will then have their
comprehension questions assessed. The results of the Verbal, Numerical and Non-Verbal tests, and the English extension
questions will be combined. The combined rankings will be used to determine the rank order of candidates.

Wow exam changes already?! Is the new exam provider CEM again? Has this year been such a fiasco they feel the need to change already? I wonder if they'll share with Kendrick and Slough again. Thanks for the heads up.

Sorry for any confusion, I've edited my post. Changes are for in-year non-routine entry i.e. filling odd vacancies.

Year 7 exam looks the same.
Entrance Tests
The entrance tests will consist of two 50 minute papers, each of which assess verbal, numerical and non verbal ability. Applicants are
expected to show competence in skills appropriate to Key Stage 2 English and Mathematics, and to be able to apply these skills creatively.
These tests can only be taken once. There are no practice papers for sale in respect of these tests. A familiarisation sheet of questions
can be found on our website. They will be tests for which no additional preparation is necessary.
The raw scores will be age standardised. The ranking is determined by the aggregate of the age standardised scores of both tests. The
entrance tests will take place on Saturday 12
th September 2015. There will be other schools that will be using the same tests as Reading
School. If your son takes our test after this date and is found to have taken the same test, then we will use the raw scores from the first
test he took, even if it was at another school.
