Mr Ian Cooksey - announced as new head at Watford Boys
Ian Cooksey has been announced as the new head of Watford Boys from September 2015. He comes from Dr Challoners Girls but I don't think that he was there for long. Does anyone know what he is like?

I'm interested to find out too. I think MA would have been good. At least Sept 15 gives plenty of time for handover.

I wonder if there is any significance in the fact that the two girls grammars in chiltern area have both recently just had relatively short term heads? Do the charms of teenage girls from affluent families drive them away?
I am sure it is just coincidence really.

DD is at DCHS. We got a letter stating his resignation last week, and that the governors are starting the process of seeking a new head.

I haven't had many dealings with him personally, but any time I have been in his presence he has been very friendly and approachable. My DD said he is 'fun'. We haven't been at the school long enough to know much more really.

He doesn't seem to have been there very long.
Seems a bit strange to leave one top school for another that's not very far away after not long in charge, or are headteachers like football managers these days
