Can someone please explain the answer for this

2 + 4 * 3/5 answer is 4 2/5

There is an order for doing maths. The acronym is BIDMAS (brackets - solve what is inside first, indices, either division or multiplication, then eith addition or subtraction). This is now part of the primary maths curriculum. If you type the calculation into a scientific calculator it will perform the calculations in the correct order.

4 x 3 = 12
12 : 5 = 2 2/5
Finally 2 + 2 2/5 = 4 2/5

Once again Goldenstar, have you thought of purchasing a textbook, or maybe just using Google?
