KS2 Maths exam

Post by 11+ crazy »

Where can I get previous KS2 Level 5 and 6 papers please?

Do children appear for Level 5 test first before appearing to Level 6 test?

Is the exam externally assessed or assessed by school?

Thanks in advance.

Try http://www.emaths.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for past sats papers. There will not be many level 6 as it is relatively new, but bear in mind that the school will also probably use these papers as practice.

The children sit the level 3-5 paper first and the level 6 papers after that.

Only writing is internally assessed.

Thanks Yoyo for your valuable information.

So, who marks KS2 Maths papers?

Please shed some light on how do I prepare my son for KS2 Maths, his current level is 5B and target level is 6.

Do you mean English writing is internally assessed?

You need to check that your school has actually entered him for Level Six papers. I know of students who came in the top twenty at state super selectives who were not entered for Level Six at their schools. DG

All the tests are marked externally.

Writing is marked from work done during the year.

Does anyone know what the deadline is for a school to enter children for level 6 papers?

I had a look in emaths website. Thanks for the information yoyo123.

Do you know where can I get sat papers for 2013 and 2014, since emaths has got papers until 2012?

Also, I am looking for Level 6 papers for English and maths. I couldn't find it in emaths, unless I have missed it. Any idea where can I get it?

Level 6 are there on e-maths:

http://www.emaths.co.uk/index.php?optio ... Itemid=506" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

More recent papers are on:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -materials" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -materials" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You'll also find 2013 on there if you search.

May I suggest you don't do recent papers yet? School will want to use them as a mock or practice paper and, if your child has done them, it is not a 'real' practice of an unseen paper.
