I guess by looking at the old NC level 6 descriptors (which don't make much sense to me), the recent NC primary level 6 papers last year and the year before, maybe the CGP primary level 6 focussed question books (always assuming that CGP did some work to find out the kind of thing that would go on a primary level 6 maths paper).

Level 6 focused assessment materials would be a good start - or the APP assessment guidelines.

Thanks mystery, I looked in the CGP level 6 book but I wasn't sure if it covers the entire level 6 or just what is required for SATS l.6 test.
Guest55, thank you for the links. They give a good indication of what is expected at each level.

Is level 6 divided into a,b,c or do the SATs results just notify Level 6 achieved/not achieved?
If yes, what is the threshold? If a DC gets 42/50 on a L6 maths paper is it 6c or 6B?

The external results (for us at least) did not include sub levels at any level.

You have to get a level 5 first before the level 6 paper counts.

Then level 6 is just achieved or not; threshold depends on the paper.

Thanks Tinkers.

G55, of course ….. I am aware of that. Here is more information:
L3 -5 paper score 99(20,40,39) out of 100.
L6 paper - 42/50.

No Ladymuck - new tests next year ....

berks_mum - google for the thresholds but I would guess that mark would be level 6 if marked accurately.
