Allocations Thread 2015
It's very quiet here this year - has anyone's DC taken the 11+?
Just wanted to wish everyone waiting good luck. And if you don't get the result you wanted on Monday, it's cetainly not the end as many here can testify ...
Can't believe it's been a year!

Re: Allocations Thread 2015
last year we had a few glitches where people lived in the right area and had appropriate scores but had not been given the place they should have had.
They all got sorted out when they contacted the LEA etc - however the fact that they had not got the right place was only apparent to some when they read what was written on this forum - ie the qualifying scores etc - so if anyone has info re QS on Monday then please post them as it can be very useful to others,

Any chance the offers may come out early? Friday or over the weekend maybe?
Re: Allocations Thread 2015
Last year, Worcs and Solihull updated their website at midnight on the 1st
Those of us in Warks then had a long wait until the Monday! I think, from memory, the admissions website was updated at 8.30am with the allocations. But with parents posting their DCs qualifying scores in Worcs and Solihull, we were at least able to hazzard a rough guestimate of the AQS in the South ...

Thanks for the welcome JD! Seems a little cruel to us Warks folks to make us wait longer than others, but hey ho - been waiting four months already... DS seems quite relaxed atm, so that is good
Re: Allocations Thread 2015
Hi Everyone. We are also waiting here - with bated breath. As allocation day is approaching I find it harder and harder to stop thinking about what will be in that email. I can see me staying up until midnight just in case the website is updated early. Must find that password! We are in Warwickshire so maybe getting up early is more important. I thought results day was nerve wracking, but this feels worse. How are everyone else feeling?
Re: Allocations Thread 2015
Actually WMMum you raise an interesting point - is the final allocation in the body of the email we expect on Monday; an attachment or do we have to log into the WCC system ? Any old hands (sorry!) have the answer to this ?

Old!
Prefer 'experienced' Dr_Dad
Again, from memory, the website came first. It'll list the schools you applied for and say something like 'place offered', 'place requested' (ie you're on the waiting list) or 'withdrawn preference' (where you've been offered a higher ranked school). There's a button to click to accept the place offered. (And you can also phone just to make sure they've got it, as a number of us did last year ...)
The email basically says the same thing, although you have to scroll quite far down to actually find the info! We never received the official letter, so can't comment on what that said (assume much the same again). But we did get a separate 11+ letter on the same day giving all the info of the AQS etc.
Hope that helps - ask away if you want to know anything else ...
