Is there any chance for WGGS via CI list?

Post by ugin112 »

My DD couldn't get her 1st choice which is WGGS
but she has been offered her 2nd choice which is SCD(academic)
I rang the school and found out that she is 2nd for the cross sibling rule.
and 16th for the academic of the outer area on the CI list.
(Outer cut off mark is 257 this year)

Is there any good chance to get the place at WGGS?
Thank you in advance

Within the next two weeks, the girls who have been offered places will have to accept (or decline) them, so after 16 March you should be able to get a more accurate picture.

Some girls who applied for cross-sibling places are currently in Y6 at independent schools that go up to age 18. Some of them might stay where they are. Others may have got scholarships to independent senior schools, and WGGS was their back-up.

Out of interest, how far from the school do you live? DD has been offered (and will be accepting) a cross-sibling place at 3.4km from the school. If your DD is 2nd on the CI list, then you must be quite close?

Thank you for your reply.
I live in 6.6 km away from the school (near to SCD)

I hope there will be some movement after the 1st round of the CI list.(academic or cross-sibling rule) :)
I will keep my fingers crossed for my DD!!
and many congratulations to your DD!! :D
