worried mum
Hi,
My daughter is sitting for her pvt school exam next week, I have applied for bursery.
I am getting very worried as she constantly makes silly mistakes and in has decided that she has to make ten mistakes however hard or difficut the paper is. Any advice?

I personally think that no matter how much practice or how many times you say 'read the question carefully' you will NEVER eliminate silly mistakes. There will always be silly mistakes as they are aware of the time factor and the need for speed and its not surprising that these mistakes happen - adults do it too!
I think you need to relax about it with your child - try to calm her down, boost her confidence. Try sitting her down to a short practice paper without being timed and see if this makes a difference. If it does, explain this to her to boost her confidence that she CAN do it right if she relaxes more and concentrates on the work.
