Hi. Dd has done the sample paper provided by this consortium. I've heard rumours that it's easier than the actual paper. Does anyone know if this is true or just hearsay?

Thanks!

My dd thought the actual paper (2007) was very similar to the sample one. Some q harder - some easier -overall about the same!

Hello - The 2006 paper was very long and had algebraic concepts.

Dd was late by 15 minutes completely soaked. The school, however, was very understanding, thankfully.
She managed to complete the Maths test and check it twice. From the above post about the test being difficult, and also remarks from other girls that they had left some questions unanswered, I am worried that she may not answered all the questions properly. We'll know by next week.

Anyone know about English?

Good luck to all.

The maths was very long - it was a booklet of 20 pages and there were definitely some questions on topics not covered. For instance, there was an algebra question with 3 variables. Also very tough dice question. Dd also found the clock question confusing as it had to do with the second hand.

The English Comprehension was very easy - makes you wonder! The essay was continuing the comprehension. Apparently it was a Berlie Doherty passage.
