When do you hear

Post by in Turmoil »

Hi

Has anyone had the result of their hearing yet?

I know they say a week but I have heard of people hearing within a few days. Just wondered how quick they are being this year?

Many Thanks

If we're talking about Bucks, then they try to get the letter in the post (1st class) the next working day after the hearing. This cannot be guaranteed, however, and January is a particularly busy time. All the same, I doubt that they ever take as long as the week they are allowed in the regulations.

To add to that, if anyone has not heard in the week that is allowed, get straight on the phone and ask for the letter to be emailed to you.

I'm afraid it has been known for a whole day's Appeals post to go missing. :(

I believe it did happen once - and no doubt there's the occasional letter that gets lost or delayed in the post.

As Sally-Anne says, if you haven't heard within one week, something is wrong, so contact the appeals office.
