Cricket Kit?

Post by JamesDean »

Is there an etiquette as to where one puts one's name on one's box?
Having never owed one (nor DH) I am clueless!
Somehow, writing DS's name across the cup seems wrong

There is no etiquette, scribble initials on the inside of the cup. The box should sit inside the jock strap shorts, at school some kids just rammed the box down their pants. The box should be an individuals and the team box should be avoided at all costs.

Thanks SBarnes, I'll just man-up and scribble across it!

My DS's box has a soft 'border' around the cup that was easier to write on.

If he wears boxers made sure he has a jock strap or similar - you'd be surprised how many boys forget about how to keep it in place. They aren't allowed to bat or keep wicket without a box.

My cricketer doesn't need a box.

She is pretty good though. :D
