Having heard about an online Cloze generator elsewhere on this forum I had a bit of a search around for other english/vocab resources and found these:

We don't have any DC for whom it is relevant 11+ wise, but you could try codeword / codebreak puzzles. You could do part of the puzzle yourself and let your DC try to work out what the remaining letters are?
