Any advise please on catchment area

Post by Vikki45 »

Hi, wondering if anyone could help or point in the right direction for us. We live in Lingfield, our son is still in primary, however we are starting to think about his next step re schools. Are we able to stay in Lingfield if we would like him to go to a grammar school in Kent? Or would we have to move to Kent? We were looking at Judd and Skinners?
Thankyou in advance.

The new admissions arrangements for Judd for 2016 have a catchment area which as far as I can see does not include Lingfield. There are 20 places for out of catchment boys but that they will have to be very high scorers. You can find the map of the catchment area and the admissions criteria on the website.

As far as I know Skinners doesn't have a catchment area yet and allocates on score. It wouldn't surprise me if the admissions criteria changed in the future to a model similar to the Judd one ( although the map of the catchment may well look different), but I am only speculating
