Writing on the test paper

Post by emmathehat »

Hi. My son's taking the tests at Alford GS and I'm just wondering whether they are allowed to write workings on the paper itself (although obviously the answers need to go on the MC answer sheet). This is what he's been doing on the practice papers and he's found it helpful for eliminating wrong answers in the NVR and for the codes etc in the VR. It might throw him if he's told he can't do this in the actual test. Grateful for any advice on this seemingly trivial question.

From what I've heard they can do working out on the question paper and only answers on the answer sheet. I'm sure someone will have a definite answer tho.

I have not heard about any strictures against writing on the question paper.

At QEHS they were not allowed to write on the test paper in either test on practice day, however, a few weeks later, the school then sent letters to all registered for this years test to say it had now been decided that you could write on the test papers.
