Walsall results

Post by thirdtimemum »

Just wondering when we are getting the Walsall results. I know the school say the 30th September on the website. However I've been reading through previous years posts and it seems that in 2014 they initially stated beginning of October, it was then changed to the 25th September but results were received on the 15th. In 2013 they received the results the second weekend of September.
Here's hoping for early results :D

I believe they'll be posted on Sept 30th (second class) - so we should receive them by oct 2nd.

I think I might just give QMGS a ring to find out...
QMGS is on our list of choices but not at the top but with this business of 'easy' tests flying about everywhere I think analysing the Walsall test scores before we get the Bham one is becoming a bit more pertinent. :?

I'm half watching the postbox this weekend just in case. All the local comps open days are this week and next and not sure how many to go to. Would be much easier if I had the results. It's a shame the open days aren't all after 15th October.

I can't for the life of me understand why the Walsall results take 12 week to be marked whereas the brum results are received in 5 weeks? :?
Surely should have got the Walsall results by now?

There is a 6 to 7 week summer holiday in between. Whils't I am ignorant of the process I am sure it requires more than the simple marking of papers.

Marking the papers / inputting the marks / checking process / calculating standardised scores / producing list of candidates in rank order. Much of which can be, and one would assume is, done in the (relative) 'blink of an eye' thanks to computer software.

Our local consortium turns round about 8000 non-machine read papers (2 papers per candidate) in three weeks.
