Coleshill school test - invigilator breach?

Post by nervousmom »

There have been 2 or 3 incidents on the Birmingham forum regarding invigilator breaches.

Something has come to my attention today regarding Coleshill School on Saturday.

I am not sure if this is the case, but apparently, the invigilator is supposed to ask the children to do a page count to check all the pages are there.

This was not done and the children were not asked to check.

Is it correct procedure for the pages to be counted?

They were counted where my ds took the test.
I think this is common procedure with cem.
Give the FO a call and see if they've had a report on it.

I have spoken to DD about this and she said te question booklet tied up with the answer booklet I.e she didn't have more 'answers' than 'questions'

However, have emailed Warwickshire about this to see what their response is. (Didn't email FO as this was a Warwickshire invigilator)

I can't get my head round these alleged breaches.
Surely it's not rocket science to invigilate. The invigilators must have been given the same basic instructions from the FO &/or cem.
Try not to get too nervous about it NM - as long as the number of questions and answers tied up.
Plus surely it can't be as bad as that alleged breach over at light hall.
Looks the FO might have their work cut out this year.

My ds2 did the test at Coleshill on Saturday 12 Sept. He mentioned that page counting was not done. Also, what do we mean by page counting.

Btw, Bob, did your dc do it at Coleshill too.

Page counting of the question booklet to make sure there's no missing pages, duplicate or illegible pages etc.
My ds did it in brum - thankfully all went to plan with the administration of the test - I think!

My ds2 mentioned that the CD did not mention page checks at Coleshill, but he did check himself. Not sure if tried to reconcile no if questions to no of answers in a given test.

Wonder if there is any point in contact Warks Council, or should I wait to see if other parents at Coleshill have said the same

I have sent an email tonight, although automated reponse said it can take 10 days to reply, so I may give WCC a call in the morning.

NM- You probably won't be able to get through to them due to the number of complaints they'd be having
