Aspergers assesment results - your opinion please...

Post by cindy »

All opinions welcome

performance a= well above expectations, c=expected performance
e= well below. All on attainment by test.

Chris has 12 subjects, and last scores were 8 b's -3c's and one a

His report from the school to regarding his aspergers suggests he was finding learning difficult.

I do worry that they will class him as less able with Aspergers, perhaps these scores are not as good as I think in line with other children. He tells me that there are lots of children with plenty of A's.
Just to make matters a little more difficult, the teacher calls register, and ask for thier test results at the same time, so if he was feeling off about his result, then he sure does, once the whole class has heard it. Anyway,
thats what he say's.

Results sound OK to me - reading out results does not - is this school policy?

Perhaps a quiet word with the teacher would be good -

thanks guest55,

I alway thought that the effort score was the most important thing,
and find it most odd that his attainment has gone up and his effort score has gone down, Still, I suppose the attainment mark is more accurate.

I dont need him to be top of the class, I just dont want him to feel sick
at the thought that he doesnt think he is good enough.

thanks again
