Could the marks be wrong?

Post by elaine67 »

Hello

Following the letter regarding our unsuccessful appeal I just can't help feeling let down by the system.

Is it worth asking for a re mark? My son felt very postive after the tests. I do understand that the results would come back correct. BUT I can't get that small doubt out of my head.

THEN!!
I feel let down by the appeal. Thought we had a very strong case.
Academic and mitigating circumstances.

Sorry for going on. Just helps to ask.

Kind Regards

Elaine

Do send for the clerk's notes - it may help you understand the panel's decision.

It is hard when you know that your child is suitable for a GS ...

Hi Elaine,

I am in kent, so I dont know how it works in your area.

I had the same doubt with my son Christopher, I made an appointment
with the LED, and they were more than happy to show me his actual paper.
However I was not allowed to take it away or have a copy of it.

In your Authority, Elaine, I believe you can contact Admissions and offer to pay for a re-mark.

I've not heard of any mistakes with the 11+ before, although there was once an error with a small batch of late selection papers.
