Grantham- local knowledge needed please

My father has recently died and we are having his funeral at Grantham Crematorium.

I live at the other end of the country and I'm trying to help my mum arrange things. Can anyone recommend a nearby venue to have people back to after the funeral. We think we will need to cater for about 40.

Hi - I am really sorry to hear about this, can be very hard to organise things at a distance.
When a relative died in Birmingham a couple of years ago, my cousin and I were in the same position of trying to find somewhere to meet afterwards. The undertaker was able to suggest a few places and we settled for a local cricket club (appropriate as the relative was a keen cricket follower) who could do refreshments in the lounge bar area which we had for our sole use. It is possible that the undertakers may have some ideas.
