Travel from hither green to DGGS

Post by Lewishammum2 »

Hi
We live in Hither Green and are contemplating DGGS on our daughter's CAF, borderline score of 368 but worth a shot we think! My query is about travelling there by public transport from Hither Green station. Do most girls get the train to Crayford and then get the bus, and if so, are the buses reliable / regular in the mornings? Or do most girls travel onto Dartford (which seems much further and costly) and get the bus from there? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Hi, my boy travels to Dartford and then prefers to walk. If the bus is there, he would jump on it. Lots of girls do the same as the school is just opposite theirs. Are you aware that you can use an Oyster card now? You can also get a season card which can work out cheaper. Good luck, I hear it's a great school from the DGS mothers who also have girls at DGGS.
