Habs Boys today

Post by Daogroupie »

I wonder how many boys are at Habs this morning? This is the big boys exam in our area. More sit Habs than any other school though many have already sat MT and John Lyon and will sit City and St Albans next week.

Anyone do a dropoff this am? DG

Yes but hard to tell how many boys as you drive through, drop off and drive off. We were quite early. Afternoon get a better picture but because in different halls hard to tell how many had applied.

Yes, very difficult to say .. My son said there were 12 boys in his room .. Multiple groups were brought back to our hall .. And kids were collected from 3 halls .
Anyways, my DS said there were no General knowledge questions today .. I remember reading recently in a post that there will be some ...

The Habs Boys 11+ exams on Friday 8th was a bit of a disaster for internal boys, with that disaster being narrowly averted for external applicants.

Internal boys were given last years 11+ Maths paper!!! It was only when some of the boys realised this and put their hands up that teachers later noticed! The boys were asked to continue the paper regardless. The school managed to re-print Maths papers in time for the external applicants, but had to rearrange the external timetable so that Maths was moved to the end of the day.

Internal boys will need to resit the Maths paper on Monday, but there hasn't been any formal communication to confirm this yet.

Shocking!!!

Thank you, that is very interesting. Parents were wondering why the Maths had moved times. Did the internal boys get to watch the magic show as well? DG

It's really rather unusual, Habs is very organised most of the time. Have two DS, one sat as an external canadiate two years ago and the other one sat as an internal canadiate last year. The 11 plus process went smoothly both times.
