Headteacher letters of support - any examples
Hi
My Dd2's primary school is more than willing to provide a statement of support for her appeal of non-qualification. Living in an area where the 11+ is not standard I don't think they have ever had to write such a statement for appeal, although they will have written references for the local indies.
They have asked to meet and would like my advice as to what they need to write to give Dd2 the best chance.
Dd2 missed qualifying by 2 points and is performing at the top of her year in all areas and a well above average school.
Does anyone have any examples of headteachers letters of support that were successful at appeal or have any advice as to what they need to include.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Headteacher letters of support - any examples
In the end we didn't actually need to go to appeal, but when I thought we would need to go I asked the Head if he would support us - this was his reply:-
"I am more than happy to provide a portfolio of evidence to support your appeal. This will include information to support the items below. I am confident that we can put together a very strong case.We have plenty of time to get the information together, so we will ensure that the picture is as full and positive as we can make it.
1). Portfolio with the latest assessment of his Reading Age and predicted SATs results, his current attainment against NC levels, examples of work, awards and achievements, etc.
2). Advice for Parents reasons for appeal, including copies of his annual school reports."

Our childs headteacher has offer to support our appeal, but he has asked us for some guidance on what to put in the letter. Can anyone help me with this, are there any sample head teacher letters of support?
