Bishop vesey induction evening

I just wondered if there are any BV parents on here who may be able to give me any information about what I can expect at the induction evening tomorrow?
Do the boys get told which house they will be in and will we be able to buy uniform?
I'm hoping DS will find a bus buddy as I'm a little nervous at him going on the bus on his own to start with.
Goodness this is all coming round rather quick now

Hi Firsttimemum, congratulations to you and your son, BVGS is a fantastic school
My son has left now, but I think he found out (8 years ago, scary!) his house on induction day which is usually the 1st Wednesday in July, although this might have changed since
Don't worry about the bus, he will be absolutely fine. My son was (and my daughter at Sutton Girls is) and we worried about them needlessly
They very soon make loads of friends and usually at least one or two of those friends ends up catching the same bus or train etc
You will be amazed how independent he will quickly become
