CEM practice material - what standard?
Hi, we are going to sit the Chelmsford exam as well as CSSE even though out of catchment and not 1st choice, but have not given the CEM practice papers much focus.
I bought first past the post CEM book 1 for English and Maths. Does anyone have a view on the standard of these? They seemed too easy, my DD did test 1 and 2 of the Maths book yesterday and got all but 1 subsection right in each test within the 15 minutes time. Do I need to treat these as introductory material and find something tougher?
When we do CSSE past papers her maths marks are inconsistent - anything from 60% to 85%. Generally we are finding English tougher than maths papers, even though she is stronger at English at school.

Re: CEM practice material - what standard?
I would just reduce the time given. I halve the time given on most of the CEM papers. DG
