How is the feedback for St Thomas More school.
Does the school takes children from Christian background only?

If you look at the Secondary School Admissions section on the Southend Borough Council website, it should say under which criterion the last boy was admitted last year.

There are the 'admissions arrangements':

In theory it is possible to get a place if you are neither RC nor any other variety of Christian, but it is what one might term 'a Catholic school for Catholic boys' and you would be at the very bottom of the list. Frankly, I can't see why anyone would want to go there if one wasn't RC, but then we are atheists and I can't imagine ever wanting to send a child of mine there anyway. Someone I know whose son was there a few years ago but along with several others transferred to the King John School in year 9 said that one of the most obvious differences was in PHSE (can't think what ). Don't let me put you off, though - their open evening is tomorrow.

Went for open day yesterday.
Most of the parents were practising Christian and they do not want to do 11+.
