Changes to the re-marking process
Thought this could be useful.

Do look up the process on exam board websites as well - if a university place depends on the re-mark then it can be fast-tracked [priority re-mark].

Re: Changes to the re-marking process
Often worth a remark- DS had AS maths remarked and went up a grade, then had A2 maths remarked and gained 6 UMS!! shocking marking first time round ( this was AQA)
Re: Changes to the re-marking process
Is it really surprising when they recruit non-teachers and pay peanuts?
Re: Changes to the re-marking process
That is most annoying and shocking as success to secure a place at university depends on these grades (and the GCSE ones)! The future of young people is at stake here and that shouldn't be treated with thoughtlessness.Guest55 wrote:Is it really surprising when they recruit non-teachers and pay peanuts?

Re: Changes to the re-marking process
So is this advice given in TSR correct? To contact the school first in case of a problem? Our school is only open for 1.5 hours to give out the GCSE results!
A friend is getting them for us as dd1 will be abroad with us competing in her sport. How fast do we need to respond?

Re: Changes to the re-marking process
You have a few weeks to get a request for a re-mark in. Teachers will have access to the marks for each question so can see any 'concern' areas - grade boundaries will be on the exam board websites.
