11+ Tests & School Choice
I'm thinking of applying to Sutton, Wallington & Wilson's. Would this mean 3 tests for my poor child to sit through?
Re: 11+ Tests & School Choice
The SET, the first round test, is a common test for all 3 schools. You register to take it and sit it once. For Wallington Grammar, this is then the only test, and you will be told whether you have passed. The other 2 schools will invite the top 700-900 scorers to sit their second round tests.
So yes, a total of 3 test days if you score high enough in the SET, but the SET is common to all 3 schools.

Also, note that if you're thinking about 2017 entry "the deadline for registrations for the Selective Eligibility Test is midnight on Friday 19 August 2016", so you've only a few days left.BlueBerry wrote:I'm thinking of applying to Sutton, Wallington & Wilson's. Help please! Where do I register my interest?
Re: 11+ Tests & School Choice
Oh I just re-read your post. My son will hopefully be sitting the SET in September 2017 and so I don't have to register now, right?
Re: 11+ Tests & School Choice
No, that deadline is for those children about to enter year 6 this September.
Re: 11+ Tests & School Choice
Sorry to panic you! I just figured that if your DS was looking to sit the SET this September, you'd want to know you were almost out of time. But it seems you've got a full year to go.BlueBerry wrote:Thank you.

Yep, I do have a year but I sincerely hope that I can prepare my son for his SET!
