Instructive Writing Task
Should the instructive writing be a continuous piece of writing or bullet point style? What are your views? DD's tutor instructed continuous writing whereas at the mock they suggest bullet points.

I went to have a look at the Marking Scheme for the sample English paper on the CSSE website, but unless there is something the matter with both my laptop and my phone (possible!), I can't find the actual documents. It is called 'Continuous writing', though, so I would assume that this is what is expected, rather than just bullet points?

I have told my daughter to write it as one continuous piece i hope this is correct

Last year's csse test was a continuous writing task where they were asked to write five or six sentences describing something or someone. I believe it was a family member as my DS invented a Great Uncle so he could use his favourite smelly words! The instructional writing still asked for sentences and I think they had to describe how to play a favourite game? I expect the examiners were looking for instructional phrases such as 'firstly' 'next' 'ensure' etc. I doubt they would change it this year as it is only the third year of the new style test but worth checking!
