'Charity' groups that work with disaffected KS3 students
Does any one know of Charity or Groups that come into schools and work with disaffected KS3 or 4 students? Has anyone's school led in this? Or useful links?
I looked at Boys to Men but American based - it all seems a maze out there
Thanks for recommendations or lines to follow

Might help if you said what area you were in?
Connexions used to do this work before they were disbanded - you may find joy through your local council Youth Work Service (or be pointed inteh right direction). If the Prince's Trust run in your area, they used to run various things suitable for disaffected youth.

Your LA may also still have (some of) its Youth Service if you're lucky. Ours works with 13-19 year olds.

In Essex there is a charity that does workshops in school on weapons awareness, gang culture, drugs, bullying etc.

The Fire Service used to do talks to teenagers at risk of dangerous activities like joy riding etc...

Terence Higgins Trust have always been brilliant with things around s-exual advice/safe s-ex etc and also with teenagers struggling with their identity. But, I say again, if you give an idea of the area geographically you need help in, people are more likely to be able to recommend local contacts.

Oxford University has a scheme where they send students into schools
