Good Luck to all Bucks children taking their 11+ tomorrow

...and to their parents too.

I hope the test isn't too gruelling for the children :)

Fingers crossed to everyone!

Just sent DS off to school and I'm far more nervous than he is which is fortunately the right way round.

Same here - I had to appear outwardly cool and chilled when really I could do with a big bar of chocolate or a glass of bubbly right about now (for breakfast). What time do they actually sit the test? I hope it's in the morning as my DS' brain always works better first thing in the morning...

The test is at 9am at our school so presumably the same at all of the others.

You poor thing. My stomach is churning with nerves and my son isn't even sitting the exam this year

I hope everyone has some fingernails left by the end of the school day.

2littleboys, mine are long gone! I've started on the chocolate now -- at this hour of day! :?

We had absolute chaos at the Beaconsfield test centre this morning: no clear place to queue resulting in a lump of waiting people, then 15+ minutes of just two ladies checking the paperwork, unable to decide who to ask for (they didn't announce who should come forward, after much procrastinatin they said "a-l" then they said "m-z", then they said "l-l again" , but again no clear directions or announcements.

It would have taken five minutes to arrange eg five tables with volunteer staff or sixth-formers to ask the kids to queue by surname a-d, E-G , h-m, n-s, T-Z , and get them all through.instead it was a stressful and disordered scrum of parents and pupils, hot and anxious.

My DD hates crowds and I felt this really put extra stress on children who didn't need this on an exam day in a strange school.

Nil points, Beaconsfield! I mean, it's not as if you do this every year, is it?.....

Just heard some feedback about the first paper and apparently it will be pushing the kids :? Does not sound good to me -- on to my second bar of choc! I would need an industrial-sized one come results day at this rate.
