School Tie

Post by NotionPotion »

So, does anyone know how Wirral Grammar for Girls voted on the tie issue. With/without?

We don't know as of yet..

DD said her class has voted and it was 50/50, they should know the results by the end of the week.

I suspect the tie has gone. We received the uniform list from Wirral yesterday, and it isn't on it.

Are you sure your not reading the summer uniform?

I would be surprised to think they had already decided to scrap the tie before the students had even voted.

Your right Wallasey it isn't on the list.

Those booklets had to be printed up some time ago, why ask the girls to vote on something they have already decided on?

It's just a sheet of paper we've been sent rather than something that will have taken time to produce, so maybe it's been edited after the vote on Monday. Or else it was rigged! The shirt has a rever collar too, which I would guess is new.

We also received the pack from Wirral Girls today and no tie! Just instructions on buying uniforms, calculators, books and best of all the 2 day trip to Wales at the end of September!
Fantastic, out of pocket already and she hasn't even started!!!

Shame about the tie. I like it/part of school identity etc.
Mumster-We got the letter too. Is the residential trip 1 night/2 days or 2 nights?
I'd better get the piggy-bank out!

It’s for 1 night and 2 days..

They leave at Silly O'clock and return home late the following day.

My initial thought was the same as yours mumster: Asking for money already!

But to be fair to them they haven't asked for anything since except the odd few pounds for charity sales.

It's a great trip and they will get to pick an activity they want to do..
Abseiling/Water rafting/Rock climbing ect

My DD enjoyed it very much but then it's any excuse to be away from mum!
