Are they anywhere near Shenfield station? Train and bus would be more flexible.sg896 wrote:Morning all,

Our DD is really keen on SHSG too, but we are unsure about sending her on her own on the train / bus to SHSG from Shenfield. Does any have any thoughts on this?
Otherwise we need to convince her of WHSG as there is a direct coach.

She certainly won't be on her own on the Southend Victoria line. Lots of pupils from various schools use Shenfield to change trains, plus there are others joining at various stations / changing from the Southminster line at Wickford etc. Just follow the correct uniform .bumpercrop wrote:Our DD is really keen on SHSG too, but we are unsure about sending her on her own on the train / bus to SHSG from Shenfield. Plus, have a look at the Scholars Season Ticket prices (unfortunately there is no further discount on the add on PlusBus ticket).

My daughter goes on a bus to whsg which I think does a pick up at SHSG too, the company is sbc and she is on route D which starts at shenfield station. Might be worth contacting them and asking the question...
