Hi can anyone explain this to me

Find the difference between (7 x10) and (7 x 100)

I have got 2 difference answers but which one is right?

1) 630
2) x10

I'd go for 630.

The brackets would imply that they are looking for teh product.

Difference usually implies subtraction hence 630 would be your answer.

As sum usually implies addition and product multiplication
