Voluntary work in Redbridge for 13 year olds
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to know if there were any voluntary opportunities for 13 year olds in Redbridge that you could kindly inform me about. Ideally something I and my DD can do together - if not just her would be fine.
Thanks!

Have you looked to see if the Casserole Club operates in your area? I always think that's a good (though relatively low key) way of volunteering

Libraries are a good place to volunteer and usually they will take anyone over 13. They often have summer holiday schemes for young people.
Or how about volunteering for an adventure playground for children with disabilities. That is what my daughter will be doing this summer. I think this is one in your area http://www.elhap.org.uk/volunteer.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Another idea is volunteering for the National trust offering historical information about their properties. This could be fun and informative for a young person who is interested in History. The N.T. give training in what to say and are usually keen to have younger people.
You could also look here on the CVS website. There are lots of volunteer opportunities https://www.redbridgecvs.net/volunteering/opportunities" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Haven House Hospice takes volunteers though not sure if there's rules on age.
Barnardos does student volunteering and HQ near Barkingside. Again not sure on ages.

Thank you so much Loobylou, Eccentric and Bananas!!
Many appear to need the child to be 16+. I will keep looping and let you know if I find something. Library looks like a good option.
