Langley is perceived to be the higher achiever and takes in a cohort that has a higher 11+ score on average. ( Langley has historically offered to 116/7 where Slough has historically offered to 111). I chose Slough over Langley 2 years ago due to the personality of my child and have not regretted it.... but Langley has a superb reputation.
I think it depends on your child and where you and she believes they will be happier.
It also depends on what strengths your child has...... if a school has a specialism then obviously there is excellent facilities/ teaching for that area which could benefit your child.

Thank you for the information
I have just moved to Berkshire from Merseyside.I am based in Reading and works in Newbury.I would actually really really wish to get an admission for my daughter in Kendrick. They told me she is in the waiting list and may conduct an entrance exam is any vacancy comes up for year 8.I undertand the school is very sought after, any previous history of vacancies ever coming up in Kendrick??

Up until this year, any Kendrick information has been scarce. This year we know a little more about the 11+, but unfortunately nothing at all about yr8 entry. :(

Hi Khan.
Sorry if I'm being a bit thick here?I don't understand how you have the choice of two offers?
I thought that although you may have qualified and been offered two places by 2 grammars, your LEA will allocated you a place at the one you put highest on your CAF?
Correct me if I'm wrong?

my daughter is already in year7 in grammar school in different county. We moved to berkshire recently, and she wrote exams in boths langley and slough grammar schools and have secured marks to get admission in both schools.
I am also interested to know if there are any car-share in place (reading to Langley or slough)
