What happens if ill on the day for Bucks

Post by purple12 »

Hi

I need a bit of advise please :?:

my DM was supposed to be doing the exam tomo but unfortunately had an emergency operation where he cannot stand walk & is in a lot of pain.

I have informed the exam centre & also informed the Bucks CC but been advised he will be tested in November ?? which is quite a long time away, is it true the date should be in November if ur ill on the day ? We are applying out of county...just feel he will be timescales are a bit long from Sept to now Nov...

any thoughts pls..

Presumably the November date is the next out of catchment testing date with availability. They can't really have a process that allows all who miss the first date to take it whenever they are ready. Wouldn't it be better for your child to be properly recovered anyway? Two months gives them good time to make sure they're fit and well for the test.

Where are you, OP? Are you on the borders of Bucks (I know a lot of out of area applicants are)? It's just that if you are a long way away it's probably not worth him sitting it anyway as Bucks places are offered on distance once they have qualified, rather than on score.
