Results - do the schools know before parents?
Apparently some counties/districts inform the schools of results before the parents/children find out (to give them time to prep for appeals so I hear - thought that could be incorrect). Does that happen here in Bucks? Do the schools find out much before we do? Just wondering!

They usually receive the results on Tuesday or Wednesday prior to results day.

Wowzers - dunno why I am surprised but for some reason I am! Poor staff must spend two days avoiding eye contact with all parents!

Generally I think only the Heads know the results though. Possibly a member of the office staff or a Deputy as well.Sally-Anne wrote:I'm afraid you may find that it is the other way round ...greengekho wrote:Wowzers - dunno why I am surprised but for some reason I am! Are you talking about the results of the test? Or the results of the school allocations?

OK, thanks for your reply.
What's the advantage in informing the school before the parents?

The schools check that every student that sat has a result and they can begin to think about what to recommend for non-qualifiers ie review or appeal.
