Tiffin Girls Stage 1

Post by mk81 »

Hi all. My dd sat Tiffin Girls stage 1 today and said that she found English easy but Maths was difficult. Anyone found the same?

Hello,

DD said the English was okay. The maths got tricky towards the end. She just finished both papers.

My DD said the same, English was okay and Maths was harder compare to English, both she finished.
She said easier than expected. I am guessing stage 2 will be difficult.

You may be surprised when the scores arrive.

That is what I am worried about ... I usually get scared when dd says "easy"... just hope she hasn't made silly mistakes.. Maths was tricky but she found it easier than Sutton stage 2.

My daughter also gave similar feedback, English was ok, Maths was slightly harder but she finished both and had a few minutes to go back and check some questions. details of test removed by moderator

To expand on tiffinboys comment:-

Take a look at last year comments :-

Also, a high raw score performance does not necessarily equate to a high standardised score..it all depends on the cohort. I would be concerned if every child thought the exam was easy.

Hi All,

I have been a follower on this board for a few weeks now; I find this immensely useful and hope to contribute in a meaningful way going forward. Many Thanks to all the people who post / answer queries regularly.

I am anxiously awaiting the results of Stage 1 and good luck to all the DD's out there.

Hi
Not sure if parents from last year still visit this forum?
I wanted to ask what the outcomes were for the Dd’s that said they found the maths a bit tough as this is what my DD has fed back
