Hi, intetested in how your dc found this year's CSSE paper..... my dd found the Maths far harder than the English and I wondered if this was the general consensus. She sat the 3rd October test but I heard the same from friends that sat the 23rd September papers.

Yes, all feedback I have heard mentioned a difficult Maths paper.

Roll on 17th October, 9am internet look up. My postie will be much later than that!

Yes my DD found the same. I had heard the paper used for later test was different to the 23rd sept so it's reassuring to know it was similar in difficulty for standardisation. These certainly are the longest weeks, I hate waiting!

The waiting game is awful !!!

My DD said the English was straight forward but there was about 3 tricky questions in the maths, two of which she totally guessed.

I think that is the general view from everyone I have spoken to who sat the exam. It appears that the same occurred for the later sitting.

I was surprised everyone found the English fine as this is usually very hard in the CSSE exams.

Fingers crossed...not long to go now.

Yes my daughter (23rd Sept exam) said the maths was far harder which surprised us all as Maths is her "thing"! Never thought I would hear her say the English was easier!
