Scores no longer broken down by region...why?
Reading the posts today there is a common theme that parents are not happy with scores being given in terms of total applicants and gender and not broken down by region.
Why do you think WCC have done that?
Do you see them removing catchment areas completely or even merging with the Birmingham consortium or is this just another of their random unpublished changes to something that no-one thought was broken.
Any thoughts?

Unsure why the priority area rank is not given. In everything I'd read before it states it would be. All the school's admission policies state we should receive "A provisional ranking of where the score places the child out of all children who have sat the test, and within each relevant area (East, South or both)". Surely they can't have made a massive mistake and missed it off all the letters!
It's making it much harder to make an informed decision.

It does seem very odd as effectively it is ignoring the priority area, bundling everyone in together, where, in reality, those who are outside the priority area do not get an offer in the first round.
Not helpful to many, distinctly unhelpful to most! Hopefully parent(s) will ask WCC if this is an error - or why they have done this - and let others know.

I'd just like the results, that would be a start but then I probably won't understand it anyway by the sounds if it........... .
Why do they have to make things so awkward?

In case you missed the other thread
I believe it is a mistake. The admissions policies of the schools make specific reference to providing provisional ranking. I would suggest that means they are obliged to provide that information.

I agree - just getting our results would be a start
But then if they don’t tell us much, not much point in being impatient!
Can’t believe how stressful this is

I really hope you're right and it is an error.
If it is, wonder if they'll re-issue the letters? Seems like a pretty big error though. Why wouldn't they just reuse the template letters from last year?!
