Is it worth appealing? Lincolnshire
Hi, so my daughter scored well on the verbal reasoning but not so well on the NVR, which I knew would be the case. Leaving her 5 points short.
Is there any point in appealing? I’ve not heard of any successful appeals locally, ever.
Accademically she’s more than capable of coping at the GS.
Would it be worth trying or just wait for the 12+ if she decides she’d like to? The only grounds for appeal would be that she IS bright but the NVR is a crap way of testing.

Sorry to hear re the NVR!
To appeal you need alternate academic evidence - wouldn't suggest you complain about the type of exam, tends not to go down very well.. If you are keen for her to go GS then the only way to know about the appeal is to give it a try
Have you read the FAQ ? https://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/appeals" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the link.
I had read that but I wondered if anyone had any first hand experience of being successful too.

Re: Is it worth appealing? Lincolnshire
We had a parents evening today and discussed appeal with our daughters class teacher. He told us that 3 of the 5 children that went to the GS last year, from this primary, got there on appeal
