Independent assessment board?

Post by Helglover »

Hello, could someone advise me what the 'independent assessment board' is.
My Son had his results today and scored 229. It was referred to the independent assessment board and under this line on the email it says 'not grammar'. So I understand he hasn't been successful but I don't know what the independent assessment board is or what they consider?

Welcome,

It sounds like an internal review. You may be able to find information about the review on the school or local authority website. Without knowing which school (or consortium) it is difficult to comment.

Welcome from me too. :)

It's an 'optional extra' before the appeal stage.
