After the entrance stage at KS3 level can anyone recommend books to maintain vocabulary and books with word listsas well.
A kind of lull has settled in and with the days getting shorter and more time spent infoorsvDS is getting bored and some stimulation zinc vocabulary lists might help

Reading stimulating books and challenging texts is the best way forward. Please do not try to get your dc to learn lists of words dry - it is so deathly dull and meaningless. There is an enormous world of literature out there just waiting to be discovered.

Send him to your local library and let him choose his own books? Even better if that involves catching a bus, another life skill he will need for secondary school.

My mum was an English teacher and I can't remember her ever giving me a list of any words, apart from the ones defining the items I was being sent to the shops to purchase.
